EduBB we provides a school bus management and tracking solution for schools, drivers, and parents (“Service”). • Driver app: Precise GPS location of the bus during active trips (including route and time) to enable live tracking.
• Parent app: Approximate or precise location, if you grant permission, to show relevant bus information.

Device and usage data

• Device model, operating system, app version, IP address
• Basic usage logs (such as features used and time of access)

Trip and attendance data

• Routes and schedules
• Pickup and drop‑off events
• Student attendance related to school transportation

Communication data

• Messages and notifications
• Incident reports
• Support requests sent through the app

2. How we use information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and operate the EduBB Service
• Enable live bus tracking, trip management, and student attendance monitoring
• Send notifications about pickups, drop‑offs, delays, route changes, and emergencies
• Maintain safety, security, and integrity of the Service
• Improve app performance, features, and user experience
• Provide customer support and communicate about updates or changes
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

3. Location data

• The Driver App may collect location in the foreground and, if allowed by the school and device settings, in the background during active trips to show real‑time bus location to authorized school staff and parents.
• Location collection is limited to transportation‑related use and is not shared for unrelated advertising.
• You can manage location permissions in your device settings, but disabling location may affect the app’s core functionality.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information:

• With schools and authorized staff: So they can manage routes, trips, attendance, and student safety related to their institution.
• With parents/guardians: So they can view relevant information about their own child’s bus, such as location during trips and attendance status.
• With service providers: With trusted third parties that help us deliver the Service (e.g., hosting, notifications, analytics), under confidentiality and data protection obligations.
• For legal or safety reasons: If required by law, or to protect our rights, users, students, or the public.

5. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Service to schools, drivers, and parents
• Fulfill the purposes described in this Policy
• Meet legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements

After this, data is deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible.

6. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure. Users should keep their login credentials confidential and report any suspected unauthorized access to us.

7. Children’s data

EduBB is used by schools and parents to manage school transportation. Student data is provided and controlled by schools and/or parents/guardians. We do not allow children to create accounts directly without school or parent involvement. If you believe a child’s data is being processed improperly, please contact us.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on your laws and agreements with the school, you may be able to:

• Access or update certain account information
• Request correction or deletion of certain data, subject to legal or contractual limits
• Change device permissions (such as location or notifications) in your device settings

In many cases, changes to student or parent data should be requested through the relevant school. You may also contact us directly for help.

9. Third‑party services

EduBB may integrate third‑party services (such as analytics or push notification providers). These services may collect certain information as described in their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those policies when using such features.
