Ask any transport in-charge what the job is really about and you get two answers: the morning a bus is late, and the morning a child is not on it. EduBB records boarding and drop-off against the trip as it happens, so both questions can be answered from a screen in about four seconds.

Parents see the bus on a live map while the route is running, and get a message the moment their child boards and gets off. That is usually what clears the office phone line. The calls were never really about anything except not knowing.

Live School Bus Tracking for Parents & Schools

Live bus tracking

The transport office sees every bus on one map. Each parent sees the one their child is on, and only while the route is running.

Routes and stops

Build the route once with its stops, timings and students. Tomorrow morning is a copy of it with a driver attached.

Student Boarding & Drop-Off Attendance

Boarding attendance

Who got on, who did not, and which stop each child got off at. Marked at the stop, saved against that day's trip.

Driver & Attender Management

Drivers and attenders

Who is on which bus, who has taken leave, and whose licence runs out this term. All on one record.

School Bus Compliance & Document Management

Bus compliance

Fitness certificates, insurance, permits and pollution certificates with their renewal dates, so no bus goes out a day expired.

Parent Notifications & Alerts

Parent notifications

Board and drop alerts, plus delays and route changes. Parents pick which of these they want; most keep the first two and mute the rest.

How EduBB Works for School Transport

Four steps. Most fleets are tracking their first trips the same week they load their vehicles.

01

Add buses and students

Vehicles, drivers, students and their stops, imported together.

02

Build the routes

Stops, timings, and which children belong to each of them.

03

Run the morning

Drivers start the trip and boarding is marked as children get on.

04

Parents follow along

Live bus location, and an alert at board and at drop-off.

Benefits of School Bus Fleet Management Software

70% fewer parent enquiry calls

A school running 24 buses gave parents the live route and an alert when their child boarded and got off. Inside a month the "where is the bus?" calls had mostly stopped and the transport office had its mornings back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we get asked most often by school transport operators.

  • Can parents track only their own child's bus?

Yes. A parent signs in and sees the bus their child is assigned to, and only while that trip is running. The full-fleet map belongs to the transport office. Access is role-based across web and mobile, so the two views never overlap.

  • The driver or attender marks children on and off from the app at each stop. It saves against that day's trip and that stop, so the office can see who travelled and where each child got down without calling anyone.

  • They can. Delay and route-change alerts go out alongside the board and drop-off messages, and parents choose which they want. The live map stays available either way, so a parent who would rather just look can look.

  • Yes, and most do. Routes and trips are scheduled separately from the vehicle, so the same bus can run a morning route, a mid-day shuttle and an afternoon route, each with its own stops, timings and student list.

See it running on your own fleet

A demo is a walk through the console with your vehicles, routes and drivers in mind, not a generic tour. Twenty minutes and you will know whether it fits the way you already work.
