The driver app covers most fleets on day one, and for some vehicles it is not enough. A hired truck where nobody wants to depend on the driver starting a trip, a school bus that has to be visible whether or not a phone is charged, a car that should report while it is parked — those want a device wired into the vehicle.

We sell the units, fit them, and register them against the vehicle in EduBB, so what you get back is not a separate tracking website with its own login. Position from the device lands on the same map, the same trip history and the same reports as everything else on the vehicle record.

GPS Devices fleets get

  • GPS devices supplied, fitted and configured
  • Position reported whether or not a trip is running
  • Ignition, stop and idle records per vehicle
  • Devices and driver-app tracking on one platform

GPS Devices Supplied, Installed & Configured

The device, fitted

Wired to vehicle power and tested on site. You get a working unit against a vehicle, not a box and a manual.

Real-Time Vehicle Location Tracking

Live position, always on

The unit reports whether or not anybody remembered to start a trip. For hired vehicles and long-haul runs that is usually the whole reason for fitting one.

Ignition, Idle & Stop Monitoring

Stops, idling and route history

Where a vehicle halted and how long it sat there, kept per journey. Idling is the part most owners have never actually seen measured.

Ignition and movement events

Ignition on, ignition off, and movement outside working hours. The alert nobody wants to need and everybody wants after the first incident.

GPS Tracking Without Starting a Trip

Reporting with nobody driving

A fitted unit reports whether or not a trip was started, so you keep position while the vehicle is idle, parked or moving outside working hours. The driver app only reports while a journey is running.

GPS Devices Integrated With Fleet Management Software

Existing units welcome

Already fitted somebody else's trackers? EduBB can take position from those too, so you are not paying to replace working hardware.

One record per vehicle

Device position joins the fuel, service, tyre and document history for that vehicle instead of living on a separate tracking portal.

How EduBB GPS Tracking Works

Four steps. Most fleets are tracking their first trips the same week they load their vehicles.

01

Tell us the fleet

How many vehicles, what kind, and whether they run interstate. That decides the unit.

02

Devices delivered

Units supplied with their SIMs, configured to report into your EduBB account.

03

Fitted and tested

Installed in the vehicle and checked reporting before the van leaves.

04

Live on your map

The vehicle appears on the same map as the rest of the fleet, with history from day one.

1 platform instead of two logins

Operators who bought trackers from a hardware vendor usually end up with a tracking website that knows where the vehicle is and nothing else — no fuel, no service, no papers. Registering the device against the EduBB vehicle record puts position back with the costs it belongs to.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we get asked most often by gps devices operators.

  • Do I have to buy GPS devices to use EduBB?

No. Trips report position from the driver app, so a fleet can be tracked with no hardware at all and most start that way. Devices are for vehicles that need to report independently of the driver — hired trucks, school buses, vehicles that should be visible while parked.

  • It reports whether or not a trip has been started, which means ignition events, movement outside working hours and position while the vehicle is idle or parked. The driver app reports while a journey is running, which is enough for planned trips and nothing else.

  • In most cases yes. If the units report to a platform we can take a feed from, they are registered against the vehicle and their position shows on the EduBB map like any other source. Send us the make and model and we will confirm before you commit.

  • We do, and we test each unit is reporting before we leave. Installation is available across Kerala and, for larger fleets, elsewhere in India. Talk to us about the vehicle count and where they are based.

A demo is a walk through the console with your vehicles, routes and drivers in mind, not a generic tour. Twenty minutes and you will know whether it fits the way you already work.
